(SGN) — Once again hip hop is mixing with the world of Gospel. It looks like gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard is taking rapper Nicki Minaj up on her offer to rap on her upcoming album. Back in May the rapper took to social media to ask Cobbs-Leonard if the two could collaborate .
“@tashacobbsleonard when you finish recording the album, come to my studio so I can put a 16 on one of these songs…”
Now Nicki will appear on a track on Cobbs-Leonard’s new project. It’s reported that Nicki has been a fan since 2014 when she saw the singer of BET’s Celebration of Gospel. And it looks like Cobbs-Leonard is up for all that comes from collaboration with the rapper – posting this to her Instagram account:
THIS!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣‼️‼️‼️…. “Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do. And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with—even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department. Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently.” Romans 14:1 MSG #KingdomAgentsEverywhere #ImGettingReady #MyGirlSMASHED #IfeelJesusEveryTimeIHearIt #tears #IntoAllTheWorld #SheknowsGodBetterthanSomaYall #andHeKnowsHer!!!!
